Insta360 released their latest 360 Camera, the Insta360 ONE X2*. This camera is truly amazing and maybe the future of filmmaking and the death of gimbals?! Check out this Gimbal Guru Insta360 ONE X2 Review/ Test article and video and find out more.

Check out the full Gimbal Guru Youtube Video and enjoy the amazing Insta360 ONE X2* footage:

The 2 lenses on both sides, allow the recording of 360 Videos. On the bottom is a thread connection for mounting the invisible selfiestick. There are two openings on the side. Under the top protective cap is the USB-C Port for charging and data transferring. When you open the second cap, you can pull out the battery.

Here you also find a slot, where you can insert your Micro SD-Card. On the opposite you find the power button. The front side includes the touch display and the record button.

By long pressing the power button the Insta360 ONE X2 is switched on. With the Touch- Display you have now full control over the ONE X2.

There are a lot of settings, the major ones are the following:

The standard video function is probably the most important one. The Insta360 ONE X2 allows recording 360 videos up to 5,7k and 30fps. With lower resolutions you can increase the Framerate up to 100fps. I really enjoy the high bitrate in combination with the H.265 codec and the VIVID color profile. I’m fascinated by the crisp image and the strong colors.
Another cool feature is the HDR video function. The difference to the standard video is clearly visible. In difficult light situations the HDR Video is the right choice to get the best results.
Further video settings are: Timelapse, Timeshift and Bullet time. I already tested the timelapse function and I’m impressed by the possibilities of a 360 timelapse. Creating a motion timelapse has never been easier, by reframing the timelapse in post-production!
With the ONE X2 it’s also possible to create normal videos, with a 150° field of view. You can choose between the lenses and a horizontal or vertical view. This means the Insta360 ONE X2 can be used like a standard action camera.

In addition of 360 videos, it is of course also possible to create 360 photos. The ONE X2 creates crisp 360 images. You can choose between Standard, HDR, Burst, Interval and night photos. Also keep in mind, with the Inta360 ONE X2 in your pocket you never need to ask anybody if he takes pictures of you. Now you can do it yourself with your ONE X2!
There are many more settings, but in my opinion, these are the most important ones.

Overall, I’m amazed by the new ONE X2. The ability to create high quality 360 videos is opening a new way of creating videos. The reframing in post-production is giving you the chance to capture the scene in a creative way, like never seen before. The Flowstate Video Stabilization is truly insane. Now you can create super smooth videos, no matter how shaky the camera is. In combination with the invisible selfie stick, you never need another person to film or photograph you. Just extend the Selfie stick and start creating. Additionally, the Insta360 ONE X2 is now waterproof, which further expands the area of application. I hope you are as excited as me and want to produce awesome content with this camera!
